Volunteer

Candlelighters Simcoe is a volunteer-driver, grassroots organization — we consider our volunteers to be one of our most important assets. There are many ways to volunteer with Candlelighters Simcoe; contact us to learn more about upcoming volunteering opportunities.

All volunteers will be asked to complete a Volunteer Registration Form. In addition, all volunteers that are in contact with children must submit a copy of a recent (within two years) criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening. We are happy to provide you with a letter confirming your volunteer status if necessary. Please note that residents of the City of Barrie are now eligible to complete this screening online via the Barrie Police website; all other residents of Simcoe County should contact their local OPP office for details on how to obtain this screening.
